View original imageThe Chungnam Office of Education announced that it operated the "Korean Culture Experience Learning Session" for two days on May 20 and 21, aiming to enhance foreign native-speaking assistant teachers' understanding of traditional culture and to strengthen their teaching competencies.
The foreign native-speaking assistant teachers visited Hahoe Village and Dosan Seowon in Andong, Gyeongsangbuk-do, where they learned about traditional Hanok architecture and Confucian culture, and participated in various Korean cultural experiences, including tasting local cuisine.
In addition, they received education on child abuse and sexual violence prevention, attended special lectures on teaching and learning to promote team teaching with Korean teachers, and participated in group discussions to share and discuss actual classroom cases.

Kim Ji-cheol, Superintendent of Chungnam Office of Education, stated, "Through this cultural experience, violence prevention education, and teaching competency enhancement session, I hope that the native-speaking assistant teachers will be able to respond proactively to various situations that may arise inside and outside the classroom, and contribute to fostering global sensitivity and creating a safe educational environment."
