Gwangyang City Launches Integrated Administrative Mobile App "MY Gwangyang"
Official Service Launches on May 22
Starting from May 22, Gwangyang City in Jeonnam will officially launch the nation's first one-stop integrated administrative platform, the mobile app "MY Gwangyang."
"MY Gwangyang" is a customized administrative service platform independently developed by Gwangyang City, reflecting citizens' feedback that the existing web homepage and offline civil service channels lacked accessibility and immediacy.

In addition to equipping the app with a wide range of features closely tied to daily life, the city conducted a one-month pilot operation from April 21 to improve its completeness. During this period, 30 reported errors and improvement requests were actively addressed, further enhancing the app's stability and user convenience.
One of the most notable changes brought by the launch of "MY Gwangyang" is that users can now conveniently access various administrative sites with a single login. Previously, users had to repeatedly log into multiple sites such as the main Gwangyang City homepage, the library, and the Youth Dream Center to obtain necessary information. To resolve this inconvenience, the city introduced an integrated login system, allowing users to access multiple sites through the "MY Gwangyang" app without separate authentication.
As a result, citizens can now use six sites?the main Gwangyang City homepage, Good Job Gwangyang homepage, Youth Dream Center homepage, City Library homepage, Gwangyang Sports Center homepage, and Childcare Support Center homepage?without separate logins, provided they are registered members of those sites. In addition, the app is linked with the Ministry of the Interior and Safety's "Bojogeum24" site, enabling the sharing of administrative information.
The "MY Gwangyang" app goes beyond simply providing information by significantly strengthening its customized administrative service functions that citizens can experience directly. First, the "real-time 1:1 civil service chat consultation" allows any citizen to inquire about questions or inconveniences anytime, anywhere.
Additionally, the app greatly improves accessibility and convenience by integrating reservations for various facilities and programs, such as public facility rentals, cultural class applications, and sports facility bookings.
Furthermore, services that were previously only available by phone?such as booking free legal consultations?can now be easily requested through the app. Reporting and paying for large waste disposal can also be handled simply via the app, which is expected to further increase citizen satisfaction.
The "MY Gwangyang" app integrates a total of 27 frequently used major administrative services into a single platform. By consolidating Gwangyang City's core services?such as welfare policies, daily life information, civic participation, and civil service consultations?into one place, the app greatly enhances convenience and accessibility for citizens.
Key features include welfare policy search, various administrative service applications, issuance of mobile library membership cards, emergency welfare SOS applications, small business support, town and village news, weather information, bus information, hospital and pharmacy information, and disaster notifications.
The "MY Gwangyang" app also provides various features to strengthen communication with citizens and expand opportunities for civic participation. Functions for communication and participation include policy proposals and support, regulatory reform reporting, surveys, donation news notifications, and reporting inconveniences in daily life.
The "MY Gwangyang" app is designed with an intuitive, user-centered interface so that anyone can use it easily. In particular, the "My Menu Settings" feature allows users to select and add or remove up to 14 functions, providing a personalized user environment.
To further improve civil service processing efficiency, the app includes an "Organization and Tasks" feature that enables users to check the contact information of department staff and connect by phone immediately. In addition, various user support features such as information sharing, an app user guide, service improvement suggestions, and a frequently asked questions (FAQ) section are provided to ensure that anyone can use the app easily.
Jung Inhwa, Mayor of Gwangyang, stated, "The mobile app 'MY Gwangyang' is more than just a digitalization of administrative services; it is an integrated administrative platform for real-time communication between citizens and the administration. We will continue to quickly reflect citizens' voices through the mobile app and do our best to develop Gwangyang into a smart city."
Meanwhile, the "MY Gwangyang" app can be downloaded for free by searching for "Maigwangyang" or "MY Gwangyang" on Google Play Store and Apple App Store.
