Gyeongnam Information University (President Kim Taesang) hosted a special lecture on May 18, inviting French master baker Cyril Gaudin to deliver a session for students in the Department of Hotel Baking and Pastry.

The lecture was structured as a hands-on class, allowing students to directly experience authentic French baking and pastry techniques and philosophy. Cyril Gaudin worked alongside the students to make iconic French bakery products such as baguettes, croissants, and pain de campagne, sharing his expertise and traditional baking know-how.
Cyril Gaudin is a renowned French baker who was awarded 'Best Croissant in Paris' by the leading French daily Le Figaro, and at the age of 22, he supplied baguettes to the ?lys?e Palace, the official residence of the French president.
He has also served as a professor at the world-renowned culinary school Le Cordon Bleu, and with over 30 years of experience, he is well known in Korea’s baking and pastry industry through various television programs such as 'SBS Master of Living' and 'War of Bread.'
Gyeongnam Information University plans to further strengthen its educational programs to nurture professional talent by incorporating global baking and pastry trends into its curriculum through this special lecture. In particular, the university intends to continue expanding its hands-on, field-oriented curriculum in collaboration with Bakeplus.
Choi Jeongsu, head of the Department of Hotel Baking and Pastry, stated, "This special lecture, which brought a world-class master baker directly to our students, provided a valuable opportunity to enhance their practical skills and develop an international perspective. We will continue to expand global educational content in partnership with industry in the future."
