BPA and KOSME Join Forces... Logistics Support Agreement for Export SMEs
Busan Port Authority (BPA) and Korea SMEs and Startups Agency (KOSME) have joined forces to support overseas logistics.
On May 14, BPA announced that it had signed a business agreement with KOSME at its headquarters and would cooperate to reduce the logistics burden on export-oriented small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and support their overseas expansion.
The two organizations plan to collaborate in various areas, including: jointly promoting export support programs for companies located in domestic and overseas logistics centers; developing new businesses based on BPA's overseas logistics hubs; expanding the global logistics network; identifying on-site challenges and improving related systems; and exchanging logistics professionals.
BPA currently operates logistics centers in Rotterdam, Netherlands; Barcelona, Spain; Probolinggo, Indonesia; and the hinterlands of the ports of Los Angeles and Long Beach in the United States. It provides domestic SMEs with rental fees lower than market rates, as well as value-added services such as customs clearance and transportation.
