Hwasun County Invites Applications for Lifelong Learning Club Support Project
Applications accepted through the Botam-e local subsidy system until May 28
Hwasun County (Governor Koo Bokgyu) announced on May 14 that it will be accepting applications for the "2025 Lifelong Learning Club Support Project" to encourage voluntary learning activities among local residents and to promote a culture of lifelong learning.
The application period for this year's Lifelong Learning Club Support Project runs until May 28, and applications can be submitted online through the local subsidy management system, Botam-e.
This project aims to discover a variety of lifelong learning groups in the region and to create an environment where anyone can learn anywhere in the city. It supports learning groups that have been voluntarily formed by residents with shared interests.
Eligibility requirements are as follows: clubs must consist of at least 10 county residents, have an activity history of at least three months, hold regular meetings at least twice a month, and be capable of engaging in community contribution activities. However, clubs formed for social gatherings or for political or religious purposes are excluded.
Hwasun County plans to select and support up to 20 clubs through a screening process, and the results will be announced on the Botam-e system and the Hwasun County Lifelong Learning Center website.
Jo Mihwa, Director of Population and Youth Policy, said, "We hope that this project will help make learning a part of everyday life and further vitalize resident-centered learning communities," adding, "We look forward to the active participation of interested learning clubs."
