Kim referred to the nuclear phase-out policy under the Moon Jae-in administration, stating, "Despite adverse conditions, you have never wavered and have led the way into the future by developing technologies and achieving industrial success in all areas?nuclear, hydro, thermal, and wind power. Your struggle to overcome these challenges embodies the spirit of Korea."
He continued, "I respect the entrepreneurial spirit that presses forward without yielding to adversity," adding, "I believe that when Korea becomes a land where you can fully realize your ambitions, it will become a great nation where young people can find good jobs and fully demonstrate their abilities."
In particular, Kim said, "I have a great deal of interest in small modular reactors (SMRs), and my expectations are high after visiting the site. I offer my boundless respect and anticipation to all of you who are pioneering a path no one else in the world has taken."
