Chungnam Agricultural Research and Extension Services Holds Capacity Building Training for Agricultural Product Processing and Start-up Managers
Training on Trends in Processed Agricultural Foods and More
On May 14, the Chungnam Agricultural Research and Extension Services held a "Capacity Building Training for Agricultural Product Processing and Start-up Managers" at the institute's education center. The training was attended by more than 30 staff members responsible for the Agricultural Product Integrated Processing Centers and agricultural product processing operations.
The program began with a session on how to utilize the Agricultural Science and Technology Information System (ASTIS), followed by a lecture on "Trends in Agricultural Processed Foods" delivered by Kim Euisoo, CEO of K-Bridge Insight.
Participants discussed on-site challenges and improvement measures at the processing centers operated by each city and county, as well as strategies for the future development of the agricultural product processing industry. They also sought practical solutions to the issues faced.
Currently, there are 12 Agricultural Product Integrated Processing Centers operating in the province. As of last year, approximately 1,200 farmers participated, processing a total of 72 tons of raw agricultural products.
During this process, the centers developed 93 types of prototypes reflecting consumer demands and market trends, and commercialized 51 of these products.
In addition, a total of 36 training programs?including processing start-up theory and practice, and prototype development?were conducted, producing 4,873 graduates.
An official from the Chungnam Agricultural Research and Extension Services stated, "We hope this training will deepen understanding of the processed agricultural food market and lead to the development of products that meet consumer expectations."
