Visit "Mulmeongjari" on Godeokcheon and Gangdong Forest Library This Month
Gangdong-gu in Seoul will host the "2025 Traveling Cultural Concert" starting this month. The first performance will take place at 7 p.m. on May 15 at "Mulmeongjari" on Godeokcheon, which has been selected as one of Seoul's waterfront revitalization hubs. This location, featuring a riverside terrace and a media facade, has become a beloved cultural rest area for local residents.
The event will open with a beautiful choral performance by the Gangdong-gu Women's Choir, followed by fusion gugak band Raonart, which will present a blend of traditional and contemporary Korean music. The atmosphere will be further enriched by a smooth jazz performance from Moon Jazz Band. The concert is open to everyone and can be enjoyed freely on-site without prior registration.
The second concert will be held at 2 p.m. on May 22 at Gangdong Forest Library. Located within Myeongil Neighborhood Park, this library is a multi-cultural space that combines relaxation in nature with a science theme. On this day, the Gangdong-gu Korean Traditional Orchestra will deliver a delicate and grand gugak performance, and author Choi Seungpil, known for "Study Brain Reading Method," will give a lecture on reading education. Participation in the lecture requires advance registration, which can be completed on the Gangdong-gu Office website.
