The district has been running specialized programs to help young people build practical job skills and secure employment opportunities. Over the past three years, more than one out of every two graduates (55.4%) has successfully found employment.
This year, four courses will be offered free of charge: generative AI-based video content production, security screening specialists for airports and key national facilities, practical fire protection system training, and bakery expert training.
In response to the accelerating adoption of artificial intelligence (AI) across industries, the 'Generative AI-Based Video Content Production Training Course' aims to enhance participants' employment competitiveness. This course, offered in partnership with the Korea Digital Convergence Association, is tailored to corporate job requirements and covers content planning and composition using generative AI, video shooting and editing, and graphic design. Applications are open until July 7, and the training will run from July 8 to September 2.
The 'Security Screening Specialist Training Course' prepares participants for employment at airports, cargo terminals, and key national facilities. Conducted by the Aviation Security Academy, a specialized training institution, the course covers aviation security law theory as well as hands-on training in security screening and computer-based testing (CBT) interpretation. Applications are open until June 30, with training scheduled from July 14 to July 25.
The 'Fire Protection System Technician Training and Employment Course' is designed to cultivate professionals in fire protection system inspection, maintenance, and management. The program includes preparation for the national technical qualification exam for industrial fire protection system engineers (electrical field) and on-site industrial training. The course is offered by Hyundai Industrial Vocational School, with applications accepted until July 11 and training held from July 15 to September 10.
The 'Bakery Expert Training Course for Employment and Startups' provides both theoretical and practical education for obtaining national technical qualifications in baking and confectionery, as well as for becoming a bakery industry professional. The course is offered by the Korea Confectionery Vocational School, with applications accepted until June 30 and training held from July 8 to September 18.
Participants will also receive post-training support, including one-on-one counseling for successful employment, guidance on resume writing and interview techniques, job meetings, and sharing of job openings via group chat rooms.
Each program will recruit 20 participants, who will be selected through interview screenings by the respective educational institutions. Any unemployed resident aged 19 to 39 who plans to seek employment or start a business after completing the program is eligible to participate. Detailed information, including application methods for each course, can be found in the announcements section of the district office website.
