Korea Forest Welfare Institute Launches Nationwide Survey on Forest Recreation and Welfare Activities
The Korea Forest Welfare Institute announced on May 13 that it will conduct the "2024 Forest Recreation and Welfare Activities Survey" from May 13 to June 21.
The purpose of the survey is to identify the current status of participation in forest recreation and welfare activities and to reflect the findings in the formulation of future forest welfare policies.
The Forest Recreation and Welfare Activities Survey is a government-approved statistical survey (No. 136037). It covers more than 60 items, including the public's experience with forest recreation and welfare activities, usage frequency, purpose, and satisfaction, usage patterns, awareness of forest recreation and welfare programs and facilities, and intention to use such services in the future. The data will be used as a foundation for forecasting demand for forest welfare services and for policy development.
The survey targets 5,000 households (including household heads and members aged 15 or older) residing in all 17 metropolitan cities and provinces nationwide, and will be conducted through face-to-face interviews.
The survey results will be made available on the Korea Forest Service website, the National Statistical Portal, and through the integrated microdata linkage service.
