Ansan City Establishes Public Procurement Product Promotion Portal for Local Businesses
Launch of 'Promotion Submission Portal'
Operation of 'Company Introduction Board' on Internal Network
Ansan City in Gyeonggi Province has taken direct action to promote local businesses in order to revitalize the regional economy.
On May 12, Ansan City announced that it has launched a 'Local Business Promotion Submission Portal' on its official website to provide local companies with fair opportunities to participate in bids and to boost the local economy. The city has also set up an internal 'Local Business Introduction Board' to begin operations.
The purpose of operating this board is to offer companies with headquarters or production facilities in the area a chance to introduce their products, thereby increasing brand awareness and supporting the discovery of new companies and the development of new sales channels.
On the main page of the Ansan City Hall website, the 'Local Business Promotion Submission Portal' under the 'Key Services' section allows companies involved in goods and government-supplied materials procurement projects to directly submit their company name, business registration number, address, promotional materials, and delivery records.
The submitted promotional materials are also posted on the internal 'Local Business Introduction Board,' enabling business departments to compare and analyze material information and suppliers before placing orders, so that products from local companies can be prioritized for review and purchase.
To further ensure fairness and equity in the contracting process, the city plans to operate this initiative alongside the existing 'Aggregate Limit System for Private Contracts,' which is already in place, to help a diverse range of companies enter the market. However, the city also plans to conduct thorough monitoring throughout the process to prevent any cases of project delays or declines in the quality of deliverables.
