The impeachment motion claims that the defendants severely damaged, infringed upon, or abused the essential content of fundamental rights and the constitutional order through their remand ruling for violation of the Public Official Election Act.
The Innovation Party said, "This case appears to be not merely a constitutional violation due to simple negligence, but rather a highly condemnable act of intentional political intervention," and added, "This constitutes a very serious constitutional violation that can justify the impeachment of the judges."
The Innovation Party also stated, "Forcing only one interpretation of a particular fact, or carrying out criminal punishment for alternative interpretations, is an unconstitutional act that does not align with our Constitution, which guarantees freedom of expression and free election campaigning," adding, "No one should recklessly wield the sword of criminal punishment from a single perspective."
