Trump: "I Will Greatly Increase Trade with India and Pakistan"
U.S. President Donald Trump announced on May 10 (local time) that he would expand trade with India and Pakistan, which have reached a ceasefire.
President Trump explained on the social media platform Truth Social, "Although it has never been discussed before, I will greatly increase trade with these great nations."
He went on to say, "I am proud of the strong and steadfast leadership of India and Pakistan, which has demonstrated the strength, wisdom, and courage to recognize that it is time to stop acts of aggression that could lead to countless deaths and destruction." He also emphasized, "I am proud that the United States helped facilitate this historic and heroic decision."
In addition, he added, "Furthermore, I will work with both sides to resolve the Kashmir issue, something that has not been achieved in a thousand years."
