Seoul National University Appoints Kisok Kang as Associate Editor of Prestigious Chemistry Journal JACS
Seoul National University announced on May 10 that Kisok Kang, Professor in the Department of Materials Science and Engineering at the College of Engineering, has been appointed as Associate Editor of the Journal of the American Chemical Society (JACS), a leading international academic journal.

View original imageProfessor Kang will serve as an editorial board member of JACS for ten years, overseeing the review and editing of manuscripts in core fields such as physical chemistry, energy storage, and secondary batteries.
JACS, published by the American Chemical Society since 1879, is the world's most prestigious chemistry journal and has led the advancement of chemical theory and technology for over 140 years. In addition, JACS is one of the most frequently cited journals by chemists worldwide each year, publishing pioneering research across all areas of chemistry, including physical chemistry, organic chemistry, inorganic chemistry, and biological chemistry.
Professor Kang is a renowned scholar who has achieved global research excellence in the fields of lithium secondary batteries, all-solid-state batteries, and energy storage materials, based on physical chemistry and electrochemistry. Since 2020, he has also served as an editorial board member for the international journal Science.
