Gachon University Holds 86th Anniversary Ceremony on May 8... President Kilye Lee Vows to Become a University That Leads the Era
On May 8, Gachon University held its 86th anniversary ceremony at the university's Gachon Hall, with more than 300 attendees including President Kilye Lee, faculty, and students.
During the ceremony, ten individuals, including Professor Juhyung Lee from the Department of Artificial Intelligence, received the Gachon Academic Award for publishing outstanding papers in domestic and international journals and for their contributions to nurturing future scholars. In addition, sixty-one individuals, including Professor Jinyoung Yoo from the Department of Business Administration, were honored with the Excellent Educator Award. Eleven individuals, including Professor Youngjin Jang from the Department of Semiconductor and Display Engineering, received the President's Special Award.

Ten departments with high employment rates and thirteen faculty members recognized for excellence in field training were also commended.

In her commemorative address, President Kilye Lee stated, "Gachon University has achieved remarkable results by focusing its capabilities on nurturing talent for the three core future industries: bio, battery, and semiconductor." She added, "Gachon University will continue to pursue constant innovation and challenges, aiming to become not just a 'chosen university' but a 'university that leads the era,' without losing momentum."
