Dong-gu District in Gwangju Launches "Filling Small Life Skills" Program
On May 8, Dong-gu District in Gwangju announced that it will operate a customized experiential program called "Filling Small Life Skills," designed to help local young people find small joys in their daily lives and learn various life skills.
This program, which will run from May 26 to June 22, will be conducted in cooperation with local workshops and young entrepreneurs. The main activities include a total of seven programs: ▲ Choco Gugelhupf baking ▲ Perfume & hand cream making ▲ Pottery experience ▲ Tufted mini rug creation ▲ Suncatcher making ▲ Rattan stand making ▲ Terrarium mood lamp crafting.
The program is open to young people aged 19 to 39 who either live, work, or study in Dong-gu District, with priority given to single-person households. Applications will be accepted online via Naver Form from May 12 to May 21, on a first-come, first-served basis. Detailed schedules and participation guidelines can be found in the "News" section of the Dong-gu District Office website.
District Mayor Lim Taek stated, "This program was designed to allow young people to have personal time even in their busy daily lives, acquire practical skills, and gain opportunities for self-development and social participation." He added, "We will continue to develop a variety of programs that can bring vitality to the lives of young people."
