Providing Customized Programs from Early-Stage Startups to Commercialization and Investment Linkage
The Daejeon city government announced that it has been selected for the "2025 Collaborative Makerspace Support Project," organized by the Ministry of SMEs and Startups, for the second consecutive year, securing 600 million won in national funding.
The city plans to invest a total of 1 billion won, including the 600 million won in national funds, to provide customized programs that support prototype production, business growth, maker education, hosting and participating in maker events, and promoting makerspaces, covering all stages from early-stage startups to commercialization and investment linkage.
In addition, Daejeon plans to strengthen its role as a hub for technology startups by collaborating with research institutes in the Daedeok Innopolis, universities, and startup support organizations, centering on Daejeon ChangjakLab, which has established itself as a key base in the local startup ecosystem.
Choi Wonhyuk, Director of Corporate Support at the Daejeon city government, said, "Through this selection, we will spare no effort in providing comprehensive support so that outstanding local startups can progress from prototype production to investment linkage and scale-up."
