Fire Breaks Out on Kyung Hee Medical Center Rooftop... No Casualties as Remaining Embers Are Extinguished
108 Firefighters and 27 Fire Trucks Dispatched
On May 5, Children's Day, a fire broke out on the rooftop of Kyung Hee Medical Center in Dongdaemun-gu, Seoul. Fire authorities responded to the scene, bringing the main blaze under control within 30 minutes and are now extinguishing remaining embers.
According to fire authorities, the fire started at around 11:33 a.m. on the rooftop of Kyung Hee Medical Center in Dongdaemun-gu, Seoul.
The main blaze was brought under control at approximately 12:03 p.m., and firefighting efforts are continuing. A total of 27 fire trucks and 108 personnel were dispatched to the scene.
Because the fire broke out on the exterior rooftop, not inside the building, there were no casualties.
