World Youth Culture Foundation Calls for Artists for "2025 Daekyo International Sculpture Symposium"
The World Youth Culture Foundation announced on the 2nd that it is openly recruiting artists to participate in the "2025 Daekyo International Sculpture Symposium" until the 30th.
Celebrating its 26th edition this year, the "Daekyo International Sculpture Symposium" is a symposium for undergraduate and graduate students from Korea and abroad. It is co-hosted by the World Youth Culture Foundation and the Daekyo Culture Foundation, with support from the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

View original imageThe call for entries is open to undergraduate and graduate students from art colleges in Korea and abroad, majoring in fields such as crafts, sculpture, or design, who are capable of creating three-dimensional artworks. Final participants will be selected through a screening process. Students wishing to participate can download the application form from the World Youth Culture Foundation website, complete it, and submit it for consideration.
This year's symposium, under the theme "Thinking About the Future," plans to select a total of 24 participants, including 12 artists and 12 assistant artists. The selected artists will create their works at the Da Vinci Campus of Chung-Ang University over 17 nights and 18 days from July 11 to 29.
In addition, scholarships will be provided, along with materials, props, workspace, assistant artists, accommodation and meals, and the production of a catalogue, thereby covering the overall costs and creative infrastructure. Artists whose works are selected as outstanding will receive the Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Award.

The works completed this year are scheduled to be exhibited at the Nodeul Island Gallery from August 6 to 17.
