The event took place at Kumho Bit Yeoulchae Apartment, where eco-friendly coconut fiber mats were used to create a soft and safe walking environment. Through this initiative, the corporation aimed to encourage daily walking and provide a space that contributes to improving residents' health.
On site, more than 20 employees and residents voluntarily participated, spending meaningful time working together and sweating side by side. The coconut fiber mats, made from environmentally friendly materials, help reduce dust and provide excellent slip resistance, allowing pedestrians to use the walking trail more safely and comfortably.
President Kim Seungnam stated, "This activity has become a valuable opportunity for communication and community building between residents and corporation employees, going beyond simple environmental maintenance," and added, "We will continue to engage with the local community and carry out various social contribution activities in the future."
Meanwhile, the walking trail development activity is part of Gwangju Urban Corporation's commitment to sustainable management. The corporation plans to further expand various ESG activities in collaboration with the local community.
