Gwangju Employers Federation: "Early Presidential Election Pledges Must Include Measures to Revitalize Small Businesses"
Online Sales Channels and Digital Marketing Education
Low-Interest Loans Tailored to Each Industry and Situation
Each Commercial District Must Develop Distinct Competitiveness
The Gwangju Employers Federation stated on the 30th, "Measures to revitalize small businesses and traditional markets must be included in the pledges for the upcoming early presidential election."
On this day, the Gwangju Employers Federation issued a press release, saying, "With the presidential impeachment concluded and the early presidential election scheduled for June 3, the regional economy is struggling due to high inflation, high interest rates, and a strong exchange rate."
The Gwangju Employers Federation emphasized, "Targeted financial support must be strengthened," adding, "It is necessary to provide not just uniform support, but also low-interest loans, guarantee support, and debt adjustment programs tailored to the characteristics of each industry and situation."
The necessity of supporting digital transformation and capacity building was also raised. The federation stressed the need for practical support to help businesses build self-sufficiency in line with changing consumer trends, such as developing online sales channels, adopting smart technologies, and providing digital marketing education.
In addition, the federation stated, "It is urgent to improve infrastructure that can increase actual customer inflow, such as expanding the issuance and convenience of using local currencies like the Win-Win Card, as well as improving parking towers and heating and cooling restroom facilities," and emphasized, "Support should be provided to help each commercial district and traditional market develop differentiated competitiveness through the development of themes and marketing activities that highlight their unique characteristics."
The federation went on to say, "Excessive commission burdens must be alleviated. Reasonable improvement measures are needed for various fees that increase the management burden on small businesses, such as delivery app commissions and card fees," and emphasized, "It is important to establish a multifaceted and practical support system that goes beyond simply providing cash support, enabling small businesses and traditional markets to adapt to changes and build their own competitiveness."
