NongHyup Central Association Donates 400 Million Won for Yeongyang County Wildfire Recovery
Active Efforts for Financial Support and Crop Damage Compensation Ahead of Farming Season
NongHyup Central Association (Chairman Kang Hodong) and the Gyeongbuk Regional Headquarters of NongHyup Central Association (Director Choi Jinsu) have donated 400 million won to help overcome the worst wildfire damage ever recorded in Yeongyang County.

View original imageNongHyup Central Association and the Gyeongbuk Regional Headquarters decided to make the donation in order to help heal the wounds of Yeongyang County residents affected by the wildfire, including farmers. The donated funds will be used to support the recovery of daily life and restoration efforts for local residents impacted by the wildfire.
Kang Hodong, Chairman of NongHyup Central Association, stated, "It is impossible to express the pain of the farmers who lost their homes to the sudden wildfire just before the busy farming season," and added, "We hope that our support will reach every resident of Yeongyang County who has suffered from this disaster."
Oh Dochang, Governor of Yeongyang County, said, "We are mobilizing every possible resource for recovery and healing," and continued, "We will do our utmost to ensure that the donated funds are used where they are most needed. Once again, I would like to express my gratitude to all the executives and staff of NongHyup Central Association for extending a helping hand during these difficult times."
NongHyup is also actively working to provide various forms of financial support and compensation for crop damage to farmers affected by the massive wildfire that occurred just before the farming season.
