Epex Becomes First All-Korean Idol Group to Break Through Hanhanryeong in China
The group Epex will hold a solo concert in China.
According to their agency C9 Entertainment on April 29, Epex (Wish, Keum Donghyun, MU, Amin, Baekseung, Ayden, Yewang, and Jeff) will hold their 2025 solo concert, "Youth Lack in Fuzhou," at the MAAQUU X CH8 livehouse in Fuzhou, China, on May 31.
This will be the first time since the 2016 Hanhanryeong (Korean Wave Ban) that a K-pop idol group holds a solo concert in China. Previously, idol groups or hip-hop groups with non-Korean members, such as Homies, have performed in China, but it has been nine years since an all-Korean idol group has taken the stage in China.
The agency stated, "Since their debut, Epex has continuously made efforts to communicate with Chinese fans in various ways," adding, "They have collaborated with Chinese magazines for photo shoots and interviews, and in January of this year, they held fan sign events in Shanghai and Qingdao, receiving significant attention."
