Wildfire Spreads Toward Residential Areas
As a wildfire on Hamji Mountain in Buk-gu, Daegu spread, the National Fire Agency issued Fire Response Level 1 and a nationwide firefighting mobilization order on April 28.
The National Fire Agency announced that it issued the nationwide firefighting mobilization order at around 4:05 p.m. on this day, as the wildfire was spreading toward residential areas.
The head of the National Fire Agency can issue a mobilization order when it is deemed difficult to respond to disasters such as fires with the firefighting resources of a specific province or city, or when there is a recognized need to deploy firefighting resources to a disaster site at the national level.
