In particular, the village reconstruction plan presented by Bae Yongsoo, Director of Construction and Urban Affairs for North Gyeongsang Province?which includes the creation of a Blueroad-themed village, an observatory park, expansion and renovation of public facilities, and marina port development?received strong support from the residents.
Kim Gwangyeol, Mayor of Yeongdeok County, stated, "I would like to express my deep gratitude to Governor Lee Cheolwoo for personally visiting the site and joining the affected residents despite his busy schedule." He added, "We will work closely with North Gyeongsang Province to ensure that the valuable opinions gathered from residents today are reflected in the actual recovery plans, and we will actively communicate with the central government to ensure the enactment of special legislation and the realization of recovery funding."
Yeongdeok County, in cooperation with North Gyeongsang Province, plans to establish concrete action plans for village reconstruction and damage recovery. The county will continue to request support and propose policies to central ministries and the National Assembly. Through these efforts, Yeongdeok County aims to help the Nomul-ri area quickly return to normal and turn this crisis into an opportunity for positive change.
