Park Chandae: "Political Investigation to Disgrace the Democratic Party"
Park Chandae, Acting Leader and Floor Leader of the Democratic Party of Korea, criticized the prosecution for indicting former President Moon Jaein on bribery charges, calling it "an absurd indictment." He declared, "The Democratic Party will see prosecutorial reform through to the end."

He continued, "This indictment demonstrates that the current administration is continuing its pattern of targeted investigations against the previous government and engaging in political investigations aimed at discrediting the Democratic Party."
The previous morning, the prosecution indicted former President Moon Jaein on bribery charges in connection with allegations of preferential employment involving his former son-in-law.
Park said, "In front of Yoon Sukyeol, Kim Keonhee, and Prosecutor General Shim Woojeong, they look away as if nothing is happening, yet they do not even try to hide their intention to fabricate crimes against the Democratic Party. This clearly illustrates why prosecutorial reform is necessary."
He added, "The prosecution, which declined to indict Kim Keonhee despite the entire nation watching her luxury bag scandal, is proving itself to be in need of reform. A prosecution that protects its own and only cares about currying favor with those in power will lose the trust of the people."
Park also raised his voice in criticism of Han Ducksoo, Acting President and Prime Minister, who delivered a policy speech on the supplementary budget at the National Assembly the previous day. He said, "A prime minister who has disregarded the National Assembly has added another unfortunate chapter to the constitutional history of Korea. It was shameful for a government that has delayed a supplementary budget?meant to stimulate the economy?for over a year to now claim in a policy speech that it is urgent."

He continued, "The supplementary budget proposal is woefully inadequate to boost domestic demand and revive the economy. The Democratic Party will thoroughly review the proposal and do everything possible to increase the budget where it falls short, dedicating all our efforts to reviving the stagnant economy."
