A 1,240-Unit 'Songpa Creative Innovation' Apartment Complex to Be Built Near Ogeum Station
Including Mirinae Jip for Newlyweds
Construction to Begin This Year, Completion Targeted for 2028
An apartment complex named 'Songpa Creative Innovation,' with a total of 1,240 units, will be developed near Ogeum Station on Lines 3 and 5.
The Seoul Metropolitan Government announced that it conditionally approved the 'Songpa Creative Innovation Project Plan Change (Draft)' for the area of 162 Garak-dong, Songpa-gu, at the 2nd Public Housing Integrated Review Committee. The project implementer is Seoul Housing & Communities Corporation (SH Corporation).
The Songpa Creative Innovation project involves the construction of 1,240 units in 16 buildings, ranging from three basement levels to 22 above-ground floors, on two sites (47,440.2 square meters) in the 162 Garak-dong area of Songpa-gu. Complex 1 will consist of 241 units, and Complex 2 will have 999 units. The project will also include Mirinae Jip and for-sale housing, although the number of units for these categories has not yet been determined. The housing types will be 50, 59, and 84 square meters of exclusive area, which are highly preferred by actual homebuyers, and a variety of layouts will be introduced for each building.
The Songpa Creative Innovation project was selected in February 2023 as a pilot project for the Seoul Urban·Architectural Design Innovation in the public sector, and will be developed as a residential space with creative design.
The complex will expand public pedestrian pathways connecting the interior and exterior to enhance openness, and resident convenience and neighborhood facilities will be established on the lower floors. Various community facilities, including a fitness center, a small library, a shared dining area, a care center, and a daycare center, will also be provided. A community space centered on a complex cultural facility will be created to serve not only residents but also local community members.
The city plans to promptly proceed with the project, aiming for approval of the revised housing construction plan and groundbreaking within this year, and completion in the second half of 2028.
