The Ministry of Justice stated that, as in the previous year, two candidates were caught possessing or using mobile phones or so-called "cheat sheets," resulting in the invalidation of their exams and a five-year ban from taking the test. The Ministry of Justice plans to strengthen the procedure for checking candidates' belongings and to revise the Enforcement Decree of the Bar Examination Act so that simply possessing a mobile phone or refusing to comply with exam supervisors' instructions to check or submit belongings will also be considered cheating.
