View original imageThis Gwangjucheon cleanup was held to commemorate Earth Day (April 22). The activity took place in the area between Yangnimgyo and Seoseokgyo, a section frequently used by citizens as a walking trail, where the volunteers conducted environmental cleanup efforts.
Employees from Lotte Department Store Gwangju branch used tongs and garbage bags to collect trash such as cans, plastic, and cigarette butts that had been left along the riverside.
Kim Daewon, head of Lotte Department Store Gwangju branch, said, "To commemorate Earth Day, we carried out an environmental cleanup at Gwangjucheon, a cherished resting place for the citizens of Gwangju," and added, "We will continue to promote eco-friendly activities for the local community in the future."
