The installed temporary housing units are fully equipped with electricity, water, heating and cooling systems, as well as essential home appliances such as gas stoves and washing machines, providing a comfortable living environment.
As of April 21, Uiseong County had completed the installation of 16 units in Danchon-myeon, 2 units in Jeomgok-myeon, 6 units in Anpyeong-myeon, and 6 units in Sinpyeong-myeon, totaling 30 units.
The county is expediting the move-in process by taking into account the individual circumstances of the wildfire victims, and is also providing bedding, daily necessities, and food items to ensure that residents face no difficulties settling into their new homes.
Governor Kim Jusu stated, "I would like to express my deepest condolences to all the wildfire victims who have gone through such difficult times," adding, "I hope that moving into these temporary homes will be the starting point for returning to normal life. The county will stand by the victims until the end, not only to ensure residential stability but also to support the resumption of livelihoods and agriculture for their full recovery."
Meanwhile, in addition to temporary housing support, Uiseong County is also implementing a range of recovery measures, including early payment of agricultural and fisheries subsidies, customized agricultural supply cards and equipment support, and securing agricultural labor. The county is focusing its administrative resources on comprehensive support to help affected residents return to their daily lives as quickly as possible.
