Hwaseong Expands Late-night and Holiday Pediatric Care with Three "Dalbit Children's Hospitals"
Central Children's Hospital Designated and Now in Operation
On April 23, the city of Hwaseong in Gyeonggi Province announced that it has additionally designated Central Children's Hospital as a "Dalbit Children's Hospital," which will provide medical care for pediatric patients with minor illnesses during vulnerable hours.
Dalbit Children's Hospital is a public healthcare service that allows patients under the age of 18 with mild symptoms to receive outpatient treatment at general medical institutions, rather than emergency rooms, during weekday evenings, weekends, and public holidays. With this new designation, Hwaseong now has three Dalbit Children's Hospitals, including the existing Best Children’s Hospital and Dongtan St. Mary’s Hospital.
Central Children's Hospital will operate until 11:00 p.m. on weekdays and from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. on weekends and public holidays. The affiliated pharmacy, Aisarang Pharmacy, will operate during the same hours to ensure that prescriptions can be filled after treatment.
Best Children’s Hospital, which was already designated as a Dalbit Children's Hospital, operates until 11:00 p.m. on weekdays and from 8:30 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. on weekends and public holidays. Dongtan St. Mary’s Hospital operates until 11:00 p.m. on weekdays and from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. on weekends and public holidays. The affiliated pharmacies for these two hospitals are Yun Pharmacy for Best Children’s Hospital and Dongtan Plus Pharmacy for Dongtan St. Mary’s Hospital.
