'2000s Ballad Singer' Hyunseong Kim to Release New Album After 15 Years
Singer Hyunseong Kim will release a new single on May 4, according to his agency, Nextar Entertainment, on April 23, 2025.
Hyunseong Kim is a leading ballad singer of the 2000s K-pop scene, known for hit songs such as "Heaven" and "Wish." He was recognized as a vocalist with a stable high range and a clear voice, but temporarily stepped away from the stage after being diagnosed with vocal cord nodules.
This new single marks his first official release in 15 years. He regained public attention in 2021 by appearing as Singer No. 43 on JTBC's "Sing Again 2." Following a suggestion from composer Youngsoo Cho, who served as a judge on the show, he signed an exclusive contract with his current agency and made his comeback.
