The senior welfare centers will hire two "kitchen managers," who are professionals specializing in kitchen environment improvement, for each center and dispatch them directly to elderly households. The managers will organize kitchens and refrigerators, provide sterilization and disinfection, teach kitchen cleaning methods, and help seniors maintain a clean kitchen on their own.
Priority for the service will be given to single-person households receiving basic livelihood support, elderly persons with disabilities who have difficulty moving, and other elderly households struggling with hygiene management, in that order. The city also plans to connect additional necessary services such as home visits, the Infinite Care program, and minor repairs for seniors living alone.
Even after the program ends, the city will establish a continuous management system, including post-monitoring for each household, to assess the effectiveness of kitchen environment improvements.
