Sasanggu Childcare Comprehensive Support Center of Silla University Selected as 2025 Vulnerable Childcare Learning Community Operator
Silla University (President: Heo Namsik) announced that the Sasanggu Childcare Comprehensive Support Center, which it manages, has been selected as an "Operator of the 2025 Vulnerable Childcare (Disability·Multicultural) Learning Community."
The Korea Childcare Promotion Institute operates region-based vulnerable childcare learning communities through connections and collaborations with local childcare comprehensive support centers. The aim is to foster a voluntary and cooperative learning culture using local resources and to enhance the professionalism of childcare staff.
Additionally, by sharing and disseminating outstanding cases from these learning communities, the institute contributes to strengthening the field's professional capacity to support young children with disabilities and those from migrant backgrounds.
The Sasanggu Childcare Comprehensive Support Center was ultimately selected as an operator in the "Disability" category through the Korea Childcare Promotion Institute's call for applications for the "2025 Vulnerable Childcare (Disability·Multicultural) Learning Community Operator." From May to October, over a period of six months, the center will form and operate a learning community that reflects the practical needs of the field for childcare of young children with disabilities.
Based on cooperation with related organizations in the region, the center plans to identify field-oriented cases and share and disseminate this expertise, thereby strengthening the support system for young children with disabilities.
