Ansan City’s Fishing Village and Port Regeneration Project Rated ‘Top’ by Ministry of Oceans and Fisheries
Ansan City in Gyeonggi Province announced on the 22nd that it has received the top award in the "2024 Local Government Evaluation for Fishing Village and Fishing Port Regeneration Project Management" organized by the Ministry of Oceans and Fisheries.

View original imageThe Ministry of Oceans and Fisheries conducted a comprehensive evaluation of fishing village and fishing port regeneration projects last year, including the "Fishing Village New Deal Project" and the "Fishing Village New Vitality Project." The evaluation covered the project execution rate, completion status, progress of preliminary procedures, and the institution's efforts and outstanding management performance. Out of 73 local governments nationwide, six?including Ansan City?were selected as outstanding institutions in this evaluation.
The city received high marks for providing separate facilities to minimize the income gap for fishermen during the modernization of the direct sales market under the "Fishing Village New Deal 300 Project." In addition, the shortening of the project period for the Fishing Village New Vitality Project was highlighted as an exemplary case of effective management.
