Unlike the previous government-led approach to establishing parks and green spaces, the new model emphasizes voluntary participation and donations from residents, businesses, and private organizations.
The 'Our Neighborhood Green Donation Challenge' is an open donation campaign in which anyone can participate. It is characterized by residents directly taking part in the creation and maintenance of local parks, based on support from individuals, companies, and organizations. Donors can contribute to park creation in a variety of ways, including commemorative tree planting and honorary benches.
With this agreement, the district aims to establish a sustainable, privately-led urban forest model and to promote a culture of donation and social contribution through green governance built together by the public and private sectors.
