Moonchang, Water Tank Specialist, Donates 30 Million Won to Gyeongbuk for Wildfire Victims
On April 21, Moonchang Co., Ltd. visited the Gyeongbuk Provincial Government Building and delivered a donation of 30 million won to help residents affected by the large-scale wildfire that occurred in the northern region of Gyeongbuk.
With the slogan "Angels who love and protect water," Moonchang Co., Ltd. has grown over the past 33 years since its establishment in 1992 into a specialized company in stainless steel (STS) water tanks.
In particular, the company was the first in Korea to apply a seismic isolation device (a device that reduces vibration during an earthquake) to water tanks, equipping its products with the technology to reliably protect water tanks and supply clean water even during a magnitude 7.0 earthquake.
Based on this technological prowess, in 2020, the company received the "Product Innovation Award" at the "Korea New Technology Innovation Awards" hosted by the Korean Standards Association, in recognition of its excellence in disaster-responsive water management technology.
Moon Seongho, CEO of Moonchang, said, "I would like to express my deepest condolences to the residents who suffered great losses due to the sudden wildfire. I sincerely hope that their daily lives will return to normal as soon as possible."
Kim Hak-hong, Deputy Governor for Administrative Affairs of Gyeongbuk Province, stated, "I would like to express my deep gratitude to CEO Moon of Moonchang Co., Ltd. for his warm-hearted support for the residents who lost their homes due to the wildfire. The donation received will be used with care to help stabilize the livelihoods of affected residents and to ensure swift recovery from the damage."
