The Digital-Based Industrial Accident Prevention Technology Development project aims to establish an industrial accident prevention system for manufacturing SMEs with fewer than 50 employees. The project selects and supports four technology development items and fields. Through analysis of the main causes of industrial accidents in manufacturing businesses with fewer than 50 employees, four technology development support items have been identified: ▲worker behavior ▲management of hazardous machinery and equipment ▲solutions for fire, explosion, leakage, and suffocation ▲an artificial intelligence (AI)-based inspection and diagnosis platform.

The project is scheduled to be announced in July this year. TIPA plans to conduct a demand survey for the support items until April 30, targeting suppliers (SMEs) interested in industrial accident prevention technology, demand companies (manufacturing SMEs with fewer than 50 employees), universities, and research institutes. Based on the technology demand, TIPA will further specify the support items, reflect them in the project announcement, and then recruit and select support tasks.

To apply for the project, suppliers must form a consortium with demand companies and others. Each selected project can receive up to 660 million won in support for up to two years.
