A South Korean tourist was killed after being shot by a motorcycle-riding robber in the Philippines.
According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and media reports on April 21, the previous afternoon in Angeles, Philippines, a South Korean tourist was shot and killed by a motorcycle robber.
The victim was shot while resisting the robber's attempt to steal his bag. Despite being transported to a hospital within 30 minutes after passersby reported the incident, he ultimately died.
The Embassy of the Republic of Korea in the Philippines has requested a swift investigation from local police authorities and is currently working to confirm the victim's identity and the exact circumstances of the incident.

Earlier, on April 7, the Korean Embassy in the Philippines had warned of unstable public safety in the country and urged special caution against violent crimes. The embassy recommended saving emergency contact numbers, such as those of the embassy, local Korean associations, and police stations, on mobile phones, and specifically advised not to resist robbers armed with weapons.
