View original imageHampyeong-gun, Jeollanam-do recently announced on the 17th that it has successfully concluded the 'Youth 4-H Project Contest' and will foster talents to lead the future of agriculture.
This contest was organized to discover creative and practical agricultural ideas from local youth 4-H members and to nurture talents who will lead the future of agriculture. Participants underwent a document screening process, and on the day of the event, they fiercely competed by presenting their projects during the presentation evaluation.
This year's contest featured a variety of practical ideas, including the establishment of a compost resource system, the introduction of ICT artificial light seedling facilities, reduction of livestock production costs, and a soybean consignment farming project.
Lee Sangik, Mayor of Hampyeong-gun, stated, "Through this contest, we were able to witness the challenging spirit of young farmers and their deep consideration for agriculture," adding, "We will continue to provide support so that young people can realize their creative ideas."
