On the afternoon of the 16th, reports of suspected sinkholes (ground subsidence) near Apgujeong Station on Seoul Subway Line 3 and Dolgoji Station on Line 6 led to partial road closures for a time.

View original imageAccording to the district office, police, and fire authorities, a report of a sinkhole was received around 4:50 PM in front of Exit 4 of Apgujeong Station.
Police investigation revealed that it was not a sinkhole but a slight subsidence of a temporarily asphalt-paved road, with ground subsidence measuring approximately 5 cm deep and 60 cm wide.
A report of a sinkhole was also received around 5 PM in front of Exit 6 of Dolgoji Station. In front of Dolgoji Station, a pothole measuring 5 cm deep and 50 cm wide occurred.
The district office and police are controlling one lane in front of Dolgoji Station, and the district office is carrying out ground filling work.
