Seven Eleven "70% Increase in Subscribers After Mobile App Renewal"
One Month Since Launch on the 4th of Last Month... Sharp Increase Year-on-Year
60% Share Held by Customers in Their 20s and 30s
O4O Service Reorganization... Brand Competitiveness Strengthened
Seven Eleven announced on the 16th that the number of subscribers to its renewed (renovated) mobile application, Seven App, has increased by about 70% compared to the previous year.
This figure was compiled over about a month from the app’s renewal launch on the 4th of last month until the day before. Among these, customers in their 20s and 30s accounted for about 60%, the highest proportion. The company analyzed that positive responses began to come from the younger consumer group familiar with the mobile environment. During this period, pre-order sales increased by about 5.5 times compared to the same period last year.
Seven Eleven reorganized its O4O (Online for Offline) services and strengthened brand competitiveness through the renewal of the Seven App. The focus was on easy functions, simple menu accessibility, and improved usage speed. Frequently used features such as 'Pre-order', 'Parcel Delivery', 'Inventory Search', and 'Sso-ok Storage' were placed prominently on the main screen to enhance user convenience.
The most focused improvement in the renewal was the inventory search function. Considering its emergence as a key feature in convenience store mobile apps recently, the inventory search scope was expanded to all products and placed on the main screen to increase intuitiveness. The number of users increased by about 70%. Parcel delivery usage also increased more than 3.5 times. This was the effect of launching 'Good Parcel', which uses its own logistics network, alongside the Seven App renewal.
To activate the Seven App, Seven Eleven offers a 'Lucky Welcome Pack' containing three discount coupons for first-time users: 'Seven Cafe Hot Americano', 'Same-day Pickup', and 'Pre-order'. Additionally, a new feature called 'Today Lucky Box' was introduced, where users can receive L.Points, lunchboxes, and pre-order discount coupons with a 100% random daily chance of winning.
