Acting Minister of National Defense Kim Seon-ho said on the 15th, "Closely monitor any changes in enemy activities, and if they cross the Northern Limit Line (NLL) even by 1 cm, respond immediately and decisively."
On the same day, Acting Minister Kim visited the 2nd Fleet Command in the West Sea to encourage the troops and urged them to maintain a firm military readiness posture.
After receiving a report on the current readiness status, Acting Minister Kim emphasized, "The blue crab fishing season started on the 1st, so please maintain the highest level of readiness."
He added, "I am very pleased to visit the 2nd Fleet on this meaningful day marking its 79th anniversary, and I ask you to continue the history and tradition of our predecessors who led the victories in the Battle of Yeonpyeong and the Battle of Daecheong, thereby enhancing the value of our military."
