Public-Private Council Proposes Integrity Policies
and Discusses Ways to Enhance Trust in Administration
Gumi City in North Gyeongsang Province has launched a collaborative system between the public and private sectors to enhance integrity.

View original imageOn the 14th, the city held a meeting of the 'Public-Private Council for Building an Integrity Gumi' at the City Hall's International Trade Cooperation Office, discussing practical measures to spread a culture of integrity and realize transparent administration.
The meeting was attended by experts from various fields, including university professors, civic groups, and city council members, who engaged in in-depth discussions on topics such as: sharing the results of the 2024 Comprehensive Integrity Assessment by the Anti-Corruption and Civil Rights Commission and the 2025 integrity promotion plan; ways to enhance transparency in administrative processes such as civil service; and strategies for spreading a culture of integrity and operating the council.
The council members presented diverse opinions for the development of effective policies and agreed on the need to implement integrity policies that meet citizens' expectations and to establish concrete action plans that can be jointly carried out by the public and private sectors.
In particular, during the meeting, a performance themed 'Integrity Together, Innovation Together' was held, providing an opportunity for Gumi City and council members to reaffirm their commitment to practicing integrity.
Kim Jangho, Mayor of Gumi, stated, "Integrity is the foundation of administration and the starting point of citizens' trust," adding, "We will work together with the public and private sectors to realize a fair and transparent city of integrity in Gumi."
Going forward, Gumi City plans to regularize public-private council meetings and continue efforts to establish a culture of integrity through customized integrity education, institutional improvements, and integrity campaigns.
