From Gijang-gun, Governor Jeong Jongbok, Park Hongbok, Chair of the County Council, as well as policy advisory committee members and relevant officials participated in the meeting.
The meeting included an introduction to the Gijang-gun K-Culture Town development project, a presentation on Dassault Systemes’ Digital Alliance strategy, and discussions on the potential for collaboration in building a sustainable urban platform. In particular, it was meaningful as a practical first step for public sectors and global companies to cooperate in building a sustainable future city.
On this day, Dassault Systemes proposed various digital transformation-based cooperation measures, such as nuclear power plant decommissioning simulations using virtual twin technology and ESG-based industrial ecosystem platforms. In response, the county expressed its intention to gradually expand cooperation with Dassault Systemes in various fields, including the K-Culture Town development project.
Governor Jeong Jongbok stated, "Today's meeting with Dassault Systemes will serve as a significant milestone in the future strategic projects pursued by Gijang-gun," and added, "Through digital-based cooperation, not only will the K-Culture Town development project become a core driver, but it will also propel Gijang-gun toward digital transformation and a sustainable future city."
The 'K-Culture Town Development Project' is a mid- to long-term development plan to create a complex cultural town on approximately 2.64 million square meters in Jangando Yecheon, in connection with Busan Gijang Filming Studio and Andersen Fairy Tale Village. Last October, the county signed a business agreement with Dassault Systemes Korea and plans to utilize Dassault Systemes' virtual twin technology in the project.
