Gongju City Launches Gender Equality Fund Support Project
Gongju City in South Chungcheong Province announced on the 15th that it will officially launch the 2025 Gender Equality Fund Support Project to promote women's rights and encourage social participation.
This project aims to spread a culture of gender equality through a variety of educational and experiential programs centered around the newly renovated Gongju City Women's Center.
The "Mom's Touch K-food Class Together" program will offer a total of eight Korean cuisine classes for citizens until November.
Starting in May, ten cooking experience classes will also be held for 300 children.
Additionally, a capacity-building program will be provided for 53 members of the Women-Friendly City Citizen Participation Group, helping them enhance their practical skills through classes such as gallery creation.
The city expects this project to revitalize the Women's Center and establish a culture of gender equality in the region.
A city official stated, "We will continue to promote the spread of gender equality culture in Gongju City through various projects in the future."
