View original imageThe Office of International Affairs at Honam University (Director: Son Wani) announced on the 12th that it had invited the Gwangju City Foreign Student Supporters to the university and conducted various department experience and campus tour programs.
The event, held on the 11th, was organized to introduce foreign students to Honam University's excellent educational infrastructure and specialized academic programs, as well as to enhance their understanding and interest in universities in the Gwangju area.
This event was attended by 19 international students from 18 countries, including Japan, China, Germany, and Vietnam. The participants included students currently enrolled at universities in the Gwangju area, such as Honam University and Chonnam National University. They are also actively promoting the attractions of Gwangju Metropolitan City and local universities both domestically and internationally through SNS and other channels.
The participants experienced Korean popular culture firsthand through a K-POP dance session at the Department of Media, Video, and Performing Arts rehearsal room under the guidance of Professor Moon Hyunhwa. They also learned about Korean cuisine and had a meaningful time cooking it themselves through a gimbap-making experience with Professor Kim Younggyun from the Department of Culinary Arts and Food Service.
A representative from the Office of International Affairs at Honam University stated, "We plan to further strengthen our status as a global campus through continued exchanges with international students and various cultural experience programs in the future."
