The Busan Environmental Industry Promotion Consulting Support Group, which has been operating since 2022, designated this year as a new leap forward. To promote more systematic and expanded projects, the group established a collaborative network among local professional organizations, industries, and universities, and held the launching ceremony on this day.
The event included an opening address by Director Lee Taeyoon, a congratulatory speech by Vice Chairman Sung Hyundal, a presentation on the main projects of the Busan Green Environment Support Center and the operation plan of the Consulting Support Group, followed by the signing ceremony of a business agreement between the Busan Environmental Industry Promotion Consulting Support Group and the Busan Clean Water Industry Promotion Association.
The Busan Clean Water Industry Promotion Association was established in 2024 to lead the development of Busan’s clean water industry. It is headed by Hwang Soyong, CEO of DH Tech, and consists of 15 executive companies and 22 member companies.
Through this business agreement, the two organizations plan to cooperate on 'consulting support and information sharing to strengthen environmental competitiveness in Busan’s water industry sector' and 'training of professionals and job creation,' among other areas.
Director Lee Taeyoon (Dean of the College of Environment and Ocean at National Pukyong University) stated, "With this launching ceremony as a starting point, the Consulting Support Group will go beyond simple consulting to solve practical issues in Busan’s environmental industry through close cooperation among universities, industries, and professional organizations, and will also focus on training environmental professionals and creating local jobs."
Vice Chairman Sung Hyundal also emphasized, "For the sustainable development of Busan, where nature and the city coexist, the environmental industry is directly linked to the city’s future competitiveness. The city council will continue to provide policy support and attention."
