Building on this, this year the program has expanded to include students from Silla University's Departments of Fire Safety, Police Administration, and Aviation, increasing the total number of participants to 303.
About 200 people, including faculty and students from Dong-Eui University and Silla University, attended the event to share the purpose and vision of the program and to express their interest and passion for safety.

The first term was evaluated as effective, with participants reporting actual hazards such as obscured fire facilities and actively taking part in emergency response drills and safety inspections.
During the inauguration, certificates of completion and awards were presented to first-term students, while 'Safety Guardian Badges' were given to the second-term participants. Officials from the corporation and the universities also shared expectations and future directions for the program.
In addition, a 'Perfect Safety Quiz Contest' was held to commemorate the 40th anniversary of the opening of Busan Urban Rail. The quiz focused on topics such as the current status of the urban rail, safety rules, and integrity management, providing an opportunity for participating students to deepen their understanding of urban rail safety.
Lee Yurip, a student from the Department of Fire and Disaster Administration at Dong-Eui University, who is participating as a Safety Guardian again this year, said, "Through last year's first-term activities, I realized the importance of urban rail safety and was grateful to contribute to real improvements. I will continue to participate with a sense of responsibility this year as well."
Lee Byungjin, President of Busan Transportation Corporation, stated, "Safety is not achieved by systems alone; true safety culture is created when each and every citizen participates. The Safety Guardian program is very meaningful in this regard, and I hope more citizens will join in."
