KRW 72.8 Billion Invested in Customized Job Creation
Gangseo-gu, Seoul (District Mayor Jin Gyo-hoon) announced on the 11th that it will create 9,000 good jobs this year tailored to local conditions and employment targets. This goal is 1,500 more than last year and includes 8,108 direct job creations, 310 employments through vocational training, and 565 employments through job counseling.
This plan follows the '2025 Job Policy Annual Detailed Plan.' It includes various job policies reflecting employment demand based on changes in the local industrial structure and population. In particular, jobs for seniors have significantly increased to 5,433, which is 746 more than last year. The district aims for an employment rate of 71.8% this year and will implement a total of 88 projects. The budget has increased by 14.8 billion KRW compared to the previous year, totaling 72.8 billion KRW.
The main policy directions are job creation centered on future growth industries, expansion of employment welfare services, field-oriented customized employment support, expansion of job platforms, and activation of public-private cooperation.
Specifically, the district will focus on 25 representative action tasks, including ▲holding job fairs for Magok resident companies and aviation-related companies ▲supporting the activation of the Magok MICE industry ▲supporting management activities of small and medium enterprises ▲securing a sustainable growth foundation for small business owners ▲supporting jobs for vulnerable groups.
